A native San Franciscan whose 1965-1967 band "The Friendly Stranger," along with local promoters, produced and performed at some of the first dance/concerts in the city -- California Hall and Winterland. During this time I documented on film, photos and tape recordings much of the scene.
Since that time I have been a FM-Rock D.J. and Program Director, then worked for five years as album production co-ordinator and advertising/promotion manager for Grateful Dead and Round Records, also working on Round Reels "The Grateful Dead Movie". Later I went on to do video production and was production manager of a local cable station and video projects instructor at a local community college. I'm currently co-producing and editing a 35mm feature length black and white movie about the story of Bonnie and Clyde: "The Barrow Gang".
I have a vast and unique collection of "stuff" from the 60s to the 90s, from film of the first 1967 Be-In to the 1991 Bill Graham Tribute in Golden Gate Park on video, original photos of the Beatles, Janis, Garcia, Cipollina and others, rock posters, publications and music tapes of concerts and studio outtakes available for trade, sale, research or publication.
